Registered Nurse (Surgical Assistance) /Medical Assisstant

Responsibilities

• ● Assist doctors during minor and major surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
• ● Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, including instruments, equipment, and consumables
• ● Perform patient preparation, including consent verification, positioning, skin preparation, and monitoring vital signs
• ● Provide post-operative nursing care, wound care, and patient monitoring
• ● Administer medications and injections as prescribed and within scope of practice
• ● Maintain accurate clinical documentation and nursing notes
• ● Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and clinical governance standards
• ● Assist with stock management of surgical supplies and medications
• ● Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and multidisciplinary team members
• ● Mandatory Requirements
• ● Diploma / Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
• ● Valid nursing registration with the relevant Nursing Board / Council (mandatory)
• ● Current Annual Practicing Certificate (if applicable by jurisdiction)
• ● Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in surgical, OT, or procedural settings
• ● Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS is an added advantage
• ● Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical protocols
• ● Ability to work calmly under pressure in clinical environments
• ● High level of professionalism, integrity, and patient-focused care
• ● Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• ● Attention to detail and adherence to SOPs
