Requirements

  • ● BC Certification
  • ● Bachelor of Education in Elementary
  • ● Previous successful experience teaching at the intermediate level is preferred
  • ● Bachelor of Education in Library Science or Diploma in Library Science is an asset
  • ● Previous experience working as a teacher librarian at the elementary level is preferred
  • ● Demonstrated current knowledge of the renewed curriculum, including the learning outcomes and appropriate resources, is essential
  • ● Demonstrated ability to use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies is essential
  • ● Demonstrated ability to integrate appropriate technologies into educational programs
  • ● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers in similar grades
  • ● Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • ● Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
