Workshop Operations Manager (Conveyor belting /Material handling)

Responsibilities

• ● Workshop Operations Manager - Conveying/Fabrication Industry
• ● Continuous improvement of workshop processes, including work order planning and scheduling, to maximize productivity, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
• ● Monitor and analyze inventory data to optimize stock control, improve turnaround time, and enhance overall workshop performance.
• ● Lead, coach, and develop the workshop team through effective mentoring, motivation, and skills enhancement to foster a strong customer service culture.
• ● Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to enhance workshop efficiency and workflow effectiveness.
• ● Manage supplier relationships, negotiate service agreements, and coordinate warranty claims with equipment providers.
• ● Engage with customers to understand service and product requirements, address concerns, and provide effective solutions to meet customer expectations.
• ● Compile and prepare monthly operational performance and safety reports for management review and decision-making.
• ● Oversee and ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance activities in accordance with quality standards and operational requirements.
• ● Job Requirements:
• ● Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
• ● At least 5 years of relevant experience in workshop operations, maintenance, repair services in Conveying/Fabrication Industry.
• ● Knowledge of workshop operations, including work order management, repair processes, preventive maintenance and resource planning.
• ● Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop technicians and workshop teams.
• ● Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with technicians, customers, suppliers, and management.
• ● Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle service inquiries and resolve customer issues professionally.
• ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with workshop management systems or ERP systems is an added advantage.
