Responsibilities
- ● Assist the company accountants in creating financial reports regularly.
- ● Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other tools used in data analysis.
- ● Ensure all reports are prepared accurately and submitted on a timely basis.
- ● Manage and track all inter-company transactions, cash flow, and account receivables transactions for all entities.
- ● Ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial data for local GAAP and Group (iFRS).
- ● Define, implement, and maintain the internal SOX controls framework to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- ● Track and maintain fixed assets in the asset management tool.
- ● Maintain the treasury function to ensure adequate cash at all times.
- ● Maintain workflow processes and finance-related activities as per internal policies and procedures established by the Group.
- ● Periodically review workflow processes to improve turnaround time and productivity.
- ● Liaise with Group Company (WPP/AKQA), external auditors, and Aleph teams (in and outside of Malaysia) to ensure a smooth working relationship with all parties.
- ● Assist with preparing annual corporate income tax returns and liaise with external tax service providers to ensure timely tax filing of all required deliverables.
- ● Coordinate, collaborate, and support other country teams and regional offices as required.
Requirements
- ● Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy or relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA, or be partially qualified or currently pursuing professional examinations.
- ● Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
- ● Proficiency in Google Suite and good time management.
- ● Experience in using Xero or similar online platforms is preferred.
- ● Excellent oral and written communication skills.
