RESTAURANT CASHIER

Responsibilities

• ● Handle daily cashier operations, including cash, NETS, credit card, PayNow and other electronic payments.
• ● Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to process customer orders, payments and receipts.
• ● Ensure accurate billing, payment collection and transaction records.
• ● Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare end-of-day sales reports.
• ● Maintain records of cash collections, refunds, discounts and payment discrepancies.
• ● Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate customer orders and billing.
• ● Handle customer enquiries regarding menu pricing, payments and invoices.
• ● Assist in maintaining daily sales records and financial documentation.
• ● Monitor payment discrepancies and report irregularities to restaurant management.
• ● Support takeaway, delivery and online order payment processing.
• ● Prepare cashier shift reports and submit daily transaction summaries to management.
• ● Maintain confidentiality of customer payment information and company financial records.
• ● Assist with basic administrative duties and operational reporting.
• ● Ensure the cashier counter and payment equipment are clean, secure and properly maintained.
• ● Follow company cash handling policies, customer service standards and internal control procedures.
• ● Job Requirements
• ● Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
• ● Previous experience in restaurant cashiering, retail billing or customer service preferred.
