Responsibilities

  • ● Develop a vision for how AI and analytics solutions can deliver on Fortescue's blend planning and execution challenges
  • ● Develop business cases for these solutions, including value potential, delivery model and stakeholder alignment
  • ● Work closely with operations management and teams to build a roadmap for the delivery of these systems, leading planning and OKR-setting processes
  • ● Lead the product discovery and development process, using data analysis, user research and lean testing to manage uncertainty and accelerate time to prototype, MVP and operational impact
  • ● Work closely with delivery teams to prioritise, bringing business and operational requirements to balance technical considerations, iterating quickly to learn
  • ● Develop a measurement strategy, to track leading and lagging indicators of value
  • ● Lead the change management process, including building awareness and engagement, and working with front-line operations and technical teams to drive user adoption, support process change and drive real outcomes

Requirements

  • ● Demonstrated senior experience, either in product management, AI & analytics OR mining / processing operations technical disciplines (i.e. geology, mining engineering, metallurgy), typically 7+ years
  • ● Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience in metallurgy, engineering, mathematics, computer science or a related field
  • ● Demonstrated ability to lead change through influence
  • ● Ability to translate complex people and technical issues into solution requirements and change strategies
  • ● Specific experience in AI & digital transformation of short-term mining and planning functions is highly regarded
