About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Engineer Assistant to join our team in Miri, Sarawak. The successful candidate will assist engineers and project teams with daily engineering, site and administrative tasks. This position is suitable for candidates who are willing to learn, work on-site and develop practical experience in the engineering and construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • ● Assist engineers with site surveys, measurements and data collection.
  • ● Assist with site inspections and monitor construction progress.
  • ● Prepare and maintain engineering documents, drawings and project records.
  • ● Assist with technical drawings, plans and specifications using CAD software.
  • ● Support engineers with basic calculations and technical documentation.
  • ● Assist in preparing reports, proposals, tender documents and other project-related documents.
  • ● Coordinate with contractors, clients and other stakeholders when required.
  • ● Maintain proper filing and documentation of project records.
  • ● Assist with general engineering and administrative tasks.
  • ● Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements at the workplace and project sites.
  • ● Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • ● Proficient in Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • ● Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • ● Good computer and administrative skills.
  • ● Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ● Responsible, organised and willing to learn.
  • ● Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • ● Willing to work on-site and travel when required.
  • ● Relevant working experience is an advantage, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

  • ● Basic knowledge of engineering and construction practices.
  • ● Knowledge of CAD software is an advantage.
  • ● Knowledge of Malaysian building regulations and standards is an advantage.
  • ● Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
