About the Role
Think of this as hospitality with heart. Working as part of our catering team, you'll help keep the kitchen running smoothly and ensure residents receive nutritious, enjoyable meals. Assisting with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients Supporting cooks and chefs with day-to-day kitchen operations Preparing and setting up meals, snacks and beverages Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas, equipment and food preparation spaces Receiving, storing and rotating food supplies as required Following food safety, hygiene and infection control standards Supporting meal service and ensuring the kitchen is ready for busy periods Working collaboratively with the broader hospitality team Helping create a positive dining experience for our residents through quality food and service
Requirements
- ● You're reliable, practical and enjoy being part of a team. You're comfortable working in a busy kitchen and take pride in keeping things clean, organised and running smoothly.

- ● Restaurant or café kitchens
- ● Hotels and catering
- ● Commercial kitchens
- ● Aged care or healthcare hospitality
- ● Events and functions
- ● Other fast-paced food service environments
- ● What you'll need:
- ● Food Handling & Hygiene Certificate (required)
- ● Availability for shifts across a rotating 7-day roster (mandatory)
- ● Previous kitchen, food service or hospitality experience preferred
- ● Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
- ● Reliable, team-focused approach
- ● Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
- ● National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- ● Proof of working rights in Australia
- ● Willingness to complete a medical assessment to confirm physical capability for the role
