QA/QC Civil Engineer

Job purpose Responsible for monitoring civil construction activities and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and quality requirements. Conducts site inspections, manages WIR/MIR and NCRs, reviews quality documents and material approvals, coordinates with site teams and subcontractors, and follows up on corrective actions and outstanding quality issues until closure. Functional responsibilities Monitor and inspect all civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project requirements. Conduct inspections for reinforcement, formwork, concrete, masonry, waterproofing, backfilling, finishing works, and structural elements. Coordinate and raise WIRs, MIRs, and testing requirements with the consultant. Review and verify the implementation of approved method statements, ITPs, checklists, and quality control plans. Monitor concrete pouring activities, including pre-pour inspections, concrete delivery, slump, temperature, sampling, curing, and post-pour inspection. Ensure proper control of construction materials and verify compliance with approved material submittals and technical requirements. Identify defects and nonconformities and coordinate appropriate corrective actions. Prepare, issue, and follow up on NCRs, SORs satisfactory closure.
