About the Company
Our Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a number of well experienced HSE Engineers to join their team in Dubai to work on new high rise towers and / or major new villa masterplan projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a HSE Engineer working on high profile projects in the UAE with preference given to those with prior experience in working for recognised Main Contracting Companies. This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.
Responsibilities
- ● HSE Management & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with UAE laws and international standards.
- ● Ensure compliance with Municipality and authority requirements.
- ● Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- ● Prepare and submit HSE documentation, reports, and permits required by authorities.
- ● Site Safety & Operations: Monitor daily site activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.
- ● Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- ● Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors.
- ● Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
- ● Authority & Client Coordination: Liaise with government authorities during inspections and audits.
- ● Support management during authority visits and compliance reviews.
- ● Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors on HSE-related matters.
- ● Documentation & Reporting: Maintain HSE records including incident logs, training records, permits, and inspections.
- ● Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for management.
- ● Ensure proper implementation of method statements, risk assessments (RA), and HSE plans.
