  • Our TV Marketing team negotiates, executes, and optimises multi-media campaigns worldwide, driving travelers to our platforms as efficiently as possible. As a Media Buying Intern, you'll sit at the heart of making the trivago brand known and loved - supporting the planning and monitoring of TV campaigns across markets, and learning the craft alongside people who do this at scale every day. This is a chance to work on real campaigns from day one: reading performance data, supporting optimisations, and seeing how strategic advertising reaches millions of travelers. You'll build foundational media buying skills, grow your network across marketing, and get honest feedback along the way - trivago sets high standards and invests genuinely in the people meeting them.

  • Analyse campaign performance and support the implementation of ongoing optimisations that improve our topline results.
  • Support the planning and execution of multi-media campaigns across different markets, working closely with the wider marketing teams.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting that gives the team a clear, current view of how campaigns are performing.
  • Prioritise and re-prioritise your tasks in a fast-moving environment to create maximum value.
  • Contribute fresh ideas to campaign planning discussions - your perspective counts from day one.
  • What you'll need to thrive:
  • Analytical skills for interpreting campaign data, with solid Excel skills a plus - paired with an open, curious mindset toward AI tools and how they can sharpen analysis, forecasting, and optimisation.
  • Confidence in building collaborative relationships internally and externally, eagerness to support negotiations that secure the best possible conditions for trivago, and openness to occasional travel for agency or market meetings.
  • A genuine learning mindset - you ask questions, seek out feedback, and pick things up quickly in a fast-changing environment.
  • A performance mindset - you set ambitious goals for yourself and have the determination to follow through, even as priorities shift.
  • Proficiency in English (our company language) and availability for a full-time, six-month internship.
  • A valid work permit authorising employment in Germany (required for all internship applicants).
  • What you will learn:
  • How to negotiate with external counterparts to attain the best possible conditions for trivago's TV campaigns.
  • How to forecast TV spend across the year for different markets.
