About the Company
Established in 1997, Sony Music Entertainment is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, Japan, with a presence in over 100 countries through our affiliates. We have nurtured some of music's most iconic artists and produced some of the most influential recordings of all time. Sony Music's Corporate Development team for Asia & the Middle East works across some of the highest-growth music markets in the world, and has been behind many of the region's most significant transactions. Our work spans M&A and minority investments in music and entertainment businesses, music IP catalogue acquisitions, and strategic joint ventures. We're seeking a highly analytical Manager to join us, reporting to the VP, Corporate Development, Asia & Middle East. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in financial modeling, commercial analysis, and deal execution, with a genuine interest in music, entertainment, and media.
Requirements
- ● Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or a quantitative discipline. MBA, CFA, or an equivalent advanced credential is a plus.
- ● Minimum of five years' experience in corporate development, deal advisory, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a similar analytical role.
- ● Exceptional analytical skills, with strong proficiency in financial modeling and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- ● Comfortable working with large datasets, such as digital sales and streaming reports, to support deal analysis. Advanced Excel is essential; Python, SQL, or experience using AI/LLM tools to accelerate analysis is a plus.
- ● Ability to craft compelling stories and presentations to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- ● Fluency in English; another Southeast Asian language is a bonus.
- ● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
