Responsibilities

  • ● Maak het verschil in mission-critical Kubernetes-omgevingen.

  • ● Als Senior Kubernetes Engineer werk je nauw samen met zowel je eigen team als engineers van de klant. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het beheren, monitoren en onderhouden van alle Kubernetes-clusters van de klant die draaien op Amazon EKS binnen DTAP-omgevingen (Development, Testing, Acceptance en Production).
  • ● Je zorgt voor de stabiliteit, veiligheid en schaalbaarheid van deze clusters, stimuleert automatisering, ondersteunt incidentrespons en draagt bij aan de continue verbetering van infrastructuur en processen.
  • ● De verantwoordelijkheden kunnen variëren afhankelijk van het project en de focus van het team, maar kunnen onder andere omvatten:
  • ● Intensief samenwerken met je team en de engineeringteams van de klant om Kubernetes-initiatieven soepel te laten verlopen.
  • ● Beheer, onderhoud en troubleshooting van Kubernetes-clusters op Amazon EKS binnen alle DTAP-omgevingen.
  • ● Implementeren, monitoren en onderhouden van de gezondheid, prestaties en betrouwbaarheid van clusters, waarbij je proactief problemen signaleert en oplost om downtime te minimaliseren.
  • ● Uitvoeren van wijzigingsbeheer voor Kubernetes-clusters, zoals upgrades, schaling en configuratiewijzigingen, conform interne richtlijnen en best practices.
  • ● Ontwikkelen, onderhouden en optimaliseren van monitoring-, alerting- en loggingoplossingen voor de Kubernetes-infrastructuur met behulp van industriestandaardtools.
  • ● Automatiseren van terugkerende beheertaken en operationele processen via scripting of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • ● Opstellen en onderhouden van uitgebreide documentatie over clusterconfiguraties, architecturen, processen en wijzigingsgeschiedenis.
  • ● Toepassen van security best practices en zorgen dat clusters voldoen aan interne standaarden en externe regelgeving.
  • ● Wat je meebrengt
  • ● Minimaal 2 jaar hands-on ervaring met het beheren van de volledige lifecycle van Kubernetes-clusters, waaronder provisioning, upgrades, verticale en horizontale autoscaling, high availability-oplossingen, containernetwerken, beveiligingsmaatregelen en disaster recovery.
  • ● Aantoonbare ervaring met het beheren van Kubernetes in productieomgevingen binnen publieke cloudplatformen, bij voorkeur AWS.
  • ● Je hebt ervaring met het werken in AWS-productieomgevingen, waaronder IAM en RBAC, VPC- en subnetarchitecturen, multi-account AWS-landschappen en observability-oplossingen voor monitoring en inzicht in prestaties.
  • ● Sterke kennis van Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git, GitOps-werkwijzen en self-hosted CI/CD-pipelines.
