Our healthcare assistants/support workers deliver highly bespoke care shaped around the individual needs, goals and aspirations. As a healthcare assistant/support worker, you will be providing high quality, person-centered care to our clients in the comfort of their own home. On shift, you will be expected to provide personal care, assist with moving and handling and support with any clinical interventions specific to our client. Alongside, you will be expected to enrich their quality of life via community interaction and support in achieving their goals/aspirations.

About the Role

In this role, you will be supporting our 15-year-old male client within his family home/school setting, who is living with cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia, epilepsy and delayed development. On shift you will be providing personal care, administering medications and managing our clients' clinical interventions that include deep suctioning, chest physio, gastrostomy and oxygen (all training will be provided). We are looking for team members who will enrich his life through the encouragement of being out in the community, socialisation at school and supporting his education.

Responsibilities

  • 6 months care experience within the 2 years (UK based)
  • Have experience with personal care, medication and manual handling
  • Comfortable working in a 1:1 setting
  • Willing to learn new skills and undertake complex care training
  • Ability to provide high-quality care with compassion and professionalism
