About the Company

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started back in 2000, we have strived to create the strongest and most effective developer tools in the world. Today, we are evolving beyond standalone tools toward a unified, AI-native platform for software development. AI is no longer just an assistant inside the editor - it is becoming an active participant in how software is planned, built, reviewed, and operated across teams and organizations. The JetBrains Platform team is building the foundation that connects developer workflows, team-level collaboration, and organizational control into a single coherent system.

About the Job

We're now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join an identity management and access team in JCP. The team owns several services responsible for authentication and authorization, as well as for managing organizations, user memberships, groups, and workspaces.

Role & Responsibilities

  • ● You will own the entire SDLC: codebase, architecture, and operations
  • ● You will maintain and evolve the services in Kotlin and a little bit of Go, ensuring reliability and performance as the platform grows
  • ● You will design and implement new features across the identity, organization, membership, group, and workspace domains
  • ● You will review and integrate PRs from other platform teams
  • ● You will manage integrations with other JCP platform components and connected applications

Requirements

Experience

  • ● You have 7+ years of JVM development experience, preferably with Kotlin
  • ● You have a track record of taking over and improving existing production services
  • ● It is nice to have prior experience with identity management protocols, such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, or SCIM 2.0
  • ● It is nice to have hands-on experience with Go

Skills

  • ● You know how to approach performance problems on JVM and Postgres
  • ● You are experienced in building and operating SaaS production services in a distributed, multi-tenant environment
  • ● You can fluently navigate a modern devops stack: K8S, OpenTelemetry, Grafana
  • ● It is nice to have experience designing and evolving domain models for organizational or identity systems
  • ● It is nice to have cybersecurity experience: estimating risks, recognizing common vulnerability antipatterns, and promoting best SSDLC practices

Benefits

  • ● Strong base salary
  • ● Flexible work location
  • ● Remote work, spending up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad
  • ● Extra time off, with more days to relax, recharge, and do the things you love
  • ● Medical insurance allowance, enjoying peace of mind for you and your family
