Responsibilities

  • ● You will work with your team to build infrastructure for the Databricks platform at scale.
  • ● You might work on challenges such as supporting Databricks' growth by building foundational infrastructure platforms that enable seamless operation across numerous geographic regions and cloud providers.
  • ● You might work on implementing cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions to help Databricks engineers more efficiently manage and operate their services.
  • ● You might work on developing tools and processes that drive engineering efficiency at Databricks.

Requirements

  • ● You must have a BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field.
  • ● You must have 6+ years of production level experience in one of: Python, Java, Scala, C++, or similar language.
  • ● You must have experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
  • ● You must have experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
  • ● You must be proficient in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go.
  • ● You must have hands-on experience in developing and operating backend systems.
  • ● You must be able to contribute effectively throughout all project phases, from initial design and development to implementation and ongoing operations, with guidance from senior team members.
