We are seeking Mechanical Engineer Interns for Summer 2027 This is a paid, in-person, 12 week internship.

Responsibilities

  • ● Design & build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.
  • ● Present design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, design & execute hardware test plans.
  • ● Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision.
  • ● Travel to test sites and vendors as needed.
  • ● Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or any related field.
  • ● Must be a rising senior at the time of the internship and returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter/semester.
  • ● Collegiate project team or laboratory experience.
  • ● Currently enrolled in an undergrad or graduate engineering program.
  • ● CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards.
  • ● Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills.
  • ● High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles.
  • ● U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.

Requirements

  • ● Prior internship experience and/or leadership on a collegiate project team or laboratory.
  • ● Experience in NX/Teamcenter and/or Solidworks.
  • ● Experience with FEA and/or CFD analysis tools.
  • ● Ability to integrate electrical components into designs (motors, controllers, sensors etc.).
  • ● Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing.
