Responsibilities

• ● Design & build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.
• ● Present design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, design & execute hardware test plans.
• ● Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision.
• ● Travel to test sites and vendors as needed.
• ● Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or any related field.
• ● Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• ● Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
• ● Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.

Requirements

• ● Collegiate project team or laboratory experience.
• ● Currently enrolled in an undergrad or graduate engineering program.
• ● CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high-quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards.
• ● Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills.
• ● High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles.
• ● Prior internship experience and/or leadership on a collegiate project team or laboratory.
• ● Experience in NX/Teamcenter and/or Solidworks.
• ● Experience with FEA and/or CFD analysis tools.
• ● Ability to integrate electrical components into designs (motors, controllers, sensors etc.).
• ● Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing.
