  • ● This is a senior technical leadership role within CommSec Technology, responsible for building, evolving and supporting customer-facing web applications and digital product services used by investors every day. This is a true full stack engineering role focused on building and supporting customer-facing web applications and digital product services.
  • ● You'll work across the entire stack, from developing React-based user experiences through to designing, building and maintaining REST APIs using C and .NET.
  • ● Success in this role requires strong hands-on expertise across both front-end and back-end engineering, with the ability to lead technical delivery and make architectural decisions across web applications, services and cloud-based platforms.

  • ● You'll be joining the Digital & Customer Crew within CommSec, the team responsible for the web and digital experiences that help Australians trade, invest and manage their financial future. As part of one of Australia's leading online brokerage platforms, we build and operate customer-facing applications that support millions of interactions every year. Working in a full-stack environment, our engineers develop everything from responsive web experiences and APIs to cloud-native services and platform capabilities that keep CommSec secure, scalable and reliable.
  • ● Have deep full-stack web application development experience across React, TypeScript, C, .NET and REST APIs, with strong front-end and back-end capability.
  • ● Build modern, scalable and high-performing customer-facing applications using React and TypeScript.
  • ● Design and develop secure, scalable REST APIs and services using C/.NET and AWS.
  • ● Take end-to-end ownership across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment and production support.
  • ● Lead solution design and architecture decisions, balancing scalability, performance, security and reliability.
  • ● Apply engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability and performance optimisation.
  • ● Leverage AWS, Docker and Kubernetes to deliver resilient, cloud-native applications.
  • ● Partner with product, design and engineering teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions and customer outcomes.
  • ● Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence, standards and continuous improvement across the team.
