Job Description WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY Global Functions Technology (GFT) is a division within RBC's Technology and Operations group, dedicated to supporting a wide range of business partners, including Risk, Finance, Human Resources (HR), Chief Administrative Office (CAO), Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking, and Wealth Management. Within GFT, Finance IT operates as a global technology delivery function with a workforce of over 900 professionals worldwide. This team is responsible for managing and maintaining more than 100 production applications that provide critical support to RBC's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) group. The SAP Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets (APFA) Platform Lead will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and rollout of SAP APFA platform for the bank. In addition to being a hands-on functional expert, the SAP APFA Development Lead will manage ERP configuration squads and own the technical setup of the SAP platform - including any required custom development, reports, workflows, and related enhancements. Requirements

  • ● + years of configuration and platform setup experience in large-scale Finance ERP implementations, ideally within financial services.
  • ● Deep functional expertise in Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets for large global banks.
  • ● Strong understanding of financial accounting principles (multi-GAAP, consolidations, reconciliations).
  • ● Demonstrated experience managing SAP configuration squads and overseeing technical setup/custom development.
  • ● Hands-on experience with SAP reports, workflows, and platform customization. Experience working with integration, reporting, and data migration teams on SAP programs.
  • ● NICE TO HAVE:
  • ● Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to translate business needs into SAP solutions.
  • ● Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, influencing senior executives and building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • ● Demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams of consultants, developers, and integration specialists in global financial services environments.
  • ● Knowledge of architecture aspects (business, data, cyber security), SDLC lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and prior experience working with global/distributed teams.
  • ● Holds undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree (preferably in Business or Finance)
