Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, applicable labour legislation, and relevant ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISM and ISPS requirements where applicable.
  • Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with business and legal requirements.
  • Monitor changes in UAE labour legislation and advise management on their impact.
  • Support internal and external audits related to HR compliance.
  • Lead manpower planning activities to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for shore-based employees and support recruitment activities for sea staff where required.
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction programmes for new employees.
  • Ensure staffing levels are maintained in line with approved budgets and operational requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance improvement, redundancy and termination processes.
  • Manage the annual performance management process and ensure timely completion of employee performance reviews.
  • Promote employee engagement and support initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee payroll preparation and approval processes in collaboration with Finance to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
  • Support salary reviews, promotions and compensation recommendations in accordance with Company policies.
  • Administer employee benefits and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure employee records and HR information systems are maintained accurately and confidentially.
  • Oversee visa, work permit and other employment documentation processes to ensure compliance with UAE immigration requirements.
  • Review and maintain employment contracts and HR documentation.
  • Identify training and development needs across the Business Unit.
  • Coordinate employee training program and monitor compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
