- ● Job Description
- ● As a Software Engineer, you'll build software that supports our Engineering and Operations teams at Williams Racing. You'll work with a highly specialised user base on state of the art simulations, real time data, bespoke analysis tools and operational systems that have a direct impact both in the factory and on the track.
- ● You'll join our Software Development group, made up of teams focused on areas such as Aerodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics and Vehicle Performance. We use the right tools for the job, from C and C++ desktop applications, to React web apps, Python analysis tools and modern backend services. We're also on a journey to adopt more cloud native technologies and modern data platforms.
- ● Getting to know the needs of a wide range of users across the team
- ● Working with users and colleagues to research, build and roll out new software solutions
- ● Improving the reliability, performance and scale of existing systems
- ● Collaborating with other technology groups to build out our shared data platform and services
- ● Helping to streamline our development process so we can deliver more for our users
- ● Supporting applications during race weekends where needed
- ● Helping to improve software processes across Engineering and Operations
- ● Qualifications
- ● A degree in Computer Science or a related field
- ● Familiarity with source control and process management tools such as Git and Azure DevOps
- ● A collaborative and curious approach to solving technical problems
- ● The ability to work across different teams and disciplines
- ● Comfort with changing priorities and a willingness to learn new technologies quickly
