YOUR STORY We're hiring a Fullstack Filmmaker who can take a project from the first idea to the final film. You'll develop concepts, plan productions, direct, shoot, and edit across Story's work. Some projects you'll own end to end; others you'll lead alongside a producer. This is an experienced role for someone who understands the whole process and can step in wherever the work needs them.
Responsibilities
- ● Develop creative concepts from the initial brief through execution.
- ● Plan productions, including budgets, schedules, talent, and locations.
- ● Direct and shoot across a range of projects and formats.
- ● Edit your own work or guide an editor through post-production.
- ● Coordinate with VFX artists and other production collaborators.
- ● Lead client calls, present ideas, and manage relationships throughout a project.
- ● Manage multiple projects while keeping quality and delivery on track.
Requirements
- ● Portfolio demonstrating work across multiple stages of production.
- ● Professional experience directing, shooting, and editing.
- ● Ability to complete a paid test project.
- ● Based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.
- ● Degrees not required. Your work speaks for itself.
- ● Strong visual storytelling instincts from concept through edit.
- ● Confidence leading both a production team and a client conversation.
- ● Resourcefulness when a project needs a different approach.
- ● A collaborative mindset and comfort taking ownership.
