Location: San Francisco, California - On-site Compensation: 180,000- 300,000 USD Start Date: ASAP Languages: Fluent English required Type: Full-time Tech Stack: TypeScript, Python, Go ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing technology company building sophisticated software systems and infrastructure at scale. We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with experience in YC-backed or Venture backed start-ups who can work across frontend and backend systems and take features from initial concept through production.

Responsibilities

  • ● Build production backend services using TypeScript, Python, and Go.
  • ● Design and implement scalable APIs and distributed services.
  • ● Develop data processing and asynchronous workflows.
  • ● Design robust service architectures and integrations.
  • ● Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • ● Implement monitoring, logging, and observability.
  • ● Write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code.
  • ● Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
  • ● Work closely with Product and other engineering teams.
  • ● + years of backend software engineering experience.
  • ● Strong experience with TypeScript, Python, or Go.
  • ● Strong understanding of databases and data modeling.
  • ● Familiarity with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
  • ● Strong testing and software engineering practices.
  • ● Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • ● Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco.
