About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused HSE Officer (Civil Construction) to ensure the effective implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies across construction sites. The role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, conducting inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance, investigating incidents, and supporting project teams in maintaining a safe working environment throughout all phases of construction. The company specializes in complex civil construction projects across government, healthcare, education, residential, and commercial sectors. Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance - Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems across project sites. - Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company standards, and client requirements. - Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. - Ensure all construction activities comply with approved method statements and risk assessments. Site Safety Management - Conduct daily site safety inspections and toolbox talks. - Monitor high-risk activities including excavation, lifting operations, work at height, confined space entry, hot works, and heavy equipment operations. - Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel. - Coordinate safety inductions for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH IGC or an equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification is mandatory.
  • -6 years of HSE experience within civil construction or general contracting projects.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations, risk management, and environmental compliance.
  • Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage. Current UAE experience is highly preferred.
