About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer, supporting a major program of network transformation, security uplift and infrastructure remediation. This is a hands-on engineering role working across a complex, multi-campus enterprise environment. You'll support initiatives including network segmentation, secure access, Network Access Control (NAC), infrastructure upgrades and the University's broader Modern Campus Network Strategy. You'll work closely with Network Engineering, Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Operations teams to design, implement and support secure and resilient network services.

Responsibilities

  • ● This is a hands-on engineering role working across a complex, multi-campus enterprise environment.
  • ● You'll support initiatives including network segmentation, secure access, Network Access Control (NAC), infrastructure upgrades and the University's broader Modern Campus Network Strategy.
  • ● You'll work closely with Network Engineering, Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Operations teams to design, implement and support secure and resilient network services.
  • ● Implementing network segmentation and micro-segmentation solutions
  • ● Supporting NAC platforms such as Aruba ClearPass and policy enforcement
  • ● Delivering network security uplift aligned with Zero Trust principles
  • ● Configuring and supporting enterprise routing, switching, wireless and firewall environments
  • ● Supporting network remediation, hardware refresh and transformation initiatives
  • ● Contributing to SD-WAN, secure access, monitoring and observability uplift
  • ● Producing technical documentation and supporting testing, implementation and BAU handover

Requirements

  • ● You'll be an experienced, hands-on Network Engineer with a strong background supporting large and complex enterprise environments.
  • ● Strong enterprise network engineering experience across implementation, support and operations
  • ● Hands-on experience with network segmentation, NAC and secure access technologies
  • ● Strong Cisco networking experience, with exposure to HPE Aruba/ClearPass and Palo Alto highly regarded
  • ● Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, QoS, firewalls and network security
  • ● Experience delivering large-scale network transformation, remediation or security uplift programs
  • ● Experience with technologies such as Illumio, SD-WAN/SASE, SolarWinds, NetFlow, SIEM integration, Citrix ADC/NetScaler, Ruckus, Infoblox or EfficientIP would be advantageous.
