About the Role
Operating within IT Security & Infrastructure Services, the IT Security Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing and managing enterprise security controls and secure infrastructure to protect information assets, manage risk and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards whilst aligning technology initiatives with the ACU strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- ● Design, implement and manage security controls and secure infrastructure to protect assets, manage risk and ensure compliance
- ● Work alongside a collaborative team of IT specialists aligning technological initiatives with ACU strategy
- ● Provide technical leadership and expert guidance across key security domains including incident response, threat management, risk assessment and business continuity
- ● Continuously monitor emerging threats and technologies to drive improvements and ensure systems and services remain secure, resilient and aligned with best practices

- ● Total remuneration valued to 138,111 - 154,409 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component 116,706 - 130,478 (pro rata) pa (HEW 8), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
- ● 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff
- ● Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date
