About the Role

The ICT Support Officer will provide responsive and effective technical support to staff and students across the K-12 College. The successful candidate will contribute to the reliable operation of the College's ICT systems, devices, networks and digital learning technologies, while supporting staff and students to effectively use technology in teaching, learning and day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role supporting the College's 1:1 student device environment and technology-enabled classrooms. The successful candidate will be a proactive, solutions-focused individual with strong technical skills, excellent communication and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality ICT support within a school environment.

Responsibilities

  • ● Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to staff and students across hardware, software, devices and classroom audiovisual systems.
  • ● Configure, deploy and maintain the College's 1:1 student device fleet using Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, including Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
  • ● Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of wired and wireless network infrastructure.
  • ● Assist with the administration of user accounts and access across Active Directory, Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • ● Support teachers and students in the effective use of digital learning platforms and classroom technologies, including SMART Boards, Lumio and Microsoft Teams.
  • ● Maintain accurate records of ICT hardware, software and associated licences.
  • ● Support the College's cloud and on-premise ICT infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, Intune and Autopilot.
  • ● Support secure identity services, including Entra ID, SSO integrations and MFA protocols.
  • ● Assist with cybersecurity and compliance initiatives, including Essential Eight security practices and the Linewize Student Safety Platform.
  • ● Support the effective use of technology and data platforms, including Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • ● Provide technical support and escalation for more complex issues involving networks, servers and enterprise applications such as Sentral.
  • ● Maintain appropriate ICT documentation, systems and processes.
  • ● Provide responsive and professional support to staff and students, explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • ● Work collaboratively with the ICT team to identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall digital learning environment.
  • ● Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to the ongoing development of the College's ICT environment.
  • ● Uphold the values and ethos of Minarah College and undertake other duties as directed.
  • ● Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • ● Demonstrated experience in an ICT support or technical support role.
  • ● Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, Azure, Intune and device management.
  • ● Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network and classroom technology issues.
  • ● Knowledge of wired and wireless networking, user administration and ICT security practices.
  • ● Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support non-technical users.
  • ● Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple requests.
  • ● Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional ICT team.
  • ● Experience with school-based ICT systems such as Sentral, Papercut, Vivi or similar (desirable).
  • ● Experience working in an educational environment (desirable).
  • ● Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, including Essential Eight (desirable).
