About the Company

Adpen is a South East Queensland land and property development company led by a civil engineer with 16+ years' experience and over 200M in completed projects. Alongside Adpen, our director runs a group of related businesses spanning property education, digital content and e-commerce. We're building an AI-first operating system across the group, and we need the person who will design, build and own it. Work location and hours are very flexible providing results are being achieved.

About the Role

This is a hands-on AI Automation & Integrations Specialist role reporting directly to the Director. You won't be handed a backlog or a spec. You'll sit with the business, understand how deals, projects, finance and marketing actually run, and then build the systems that make it faster, smarter and more automated. Part software engineer, part solutions architect, part forward-deployed builder. Custom data panels and dashboards - live project, sales, cash-flow and marketing dashboards pulling from multiple sources (e.g. Power BI, Looker Studio, Retool or custom React front ends). AI agents - LLM-powered agents and agentic workflows (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, etc.) with tool-calling, RAG and MCP that handle research, due diligence, reporting, lead follow-up and admin. AI lead generation through meta, google accounts etc - automated ad management based on the ad sets that work and the data provided from years of successful and not successful campaigns. AI content creation - automated pipelines for short-form video, social, email and web content, including scripting, image/video generation and scheduled publishing. API integrations - connect our systems via REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks and automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate) so data flows without double entry. Financial software integrations - connect accounting and finance platforms (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, banking feeds, Stripe/Shopify) to our CRMs, dashboards and agents for real-time reporting and reconciliation. Custom CRMs - design and build CRMs tailored to land acquisition, development pipelines, buyer/investor management and student/customer journeys (custom-built or heavily customised platforms such as HubSpot, GoHighLevel or Salesforce). Deploy, monitor and iterate on everything you ship, and train the team to actually use it. Evaluate new AI tools for real business value, not novelty, and keep the stack secure, documented and maintainable.

Requirements

  • ● Built custom data panels/dashboards connected to live data sources
  • ● Built and deployed AI agents or agentic workflows used in production
  • ● Built AI-driven content creation or marketing automation pipelines
  • ● Connected third-party APIs and webhooks between multiple systems
  • ● Integrated financial/accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar)
  • ● Built a custom CRM or substantially customised one for a real business
  • ● automation, systems integration or similar, with 1+ year building with LLMs
  • ● A security mindset when handling financial and customer data
  • ● Clear communication with non-technical business owner and staff and a bias for getting things shipped
  • ● Property, construction, finance or small-business experience is highly regarded
  • ● Software engineering is desirable
  • ● Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL and relational database design is desirable
  • ● Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel or similar) is desirable
  • ● Direct access to the Director and real ownership of the group's AI and systems roadmap
  • ● Greenfield work across multiple businesses, with budget for the right tools
  • ● Hybrid working in Gold Coast/Brisbane
