Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of applications and projects, ensuring effective project delivery, application lifecycle management, operational support and continuous improvement.
  • Lead project teams and work closely with business stakeholders, Applications, Infrastructure, Data, Cybersecurity teams and vendors to translate business needs into practical solutions, manage delivery dependencies and risks, and ensure solutions are implemented successfully and sustainably.
  • Deliver assigned IT projects and application initiatives successfully within agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  • Lead and develop the application team, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and effective allocation of work.
  • Ensure applications under the team's responsibility remain reliable, supportable, secure and fit for business needs.
  • Strengthen project governance, delivery discipline, risk management and implementation follow-through.
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and act as a trusted technology advisor.
  • Drive application modernisation, process improvement and adoption of appropriate new technologies.

  • Support application modernisation through appropriate use of cloud, APIs, integration platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, automation and modern development practices.
