Responsibilities

  • ● Meet with clients and other involved professionals at an early stage to agree on the project brief
  • ● Develop project briefs and work on these as the project progresses
  • ● Prepare design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional drawing methods
  • ● Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
  • ● Understand how the design aspects of a construction project influence and relate to performance and functional issues, so that practical questions can be addressed at an early stage
  • ● Follow up with the detailed design process and co-ordinate design information
  • ● Liaise with appropriate authorities to obtain statutory approval
  • ● Co-ordinate and liaise with the various consultants on the project team
  • ● Advise clients on procuring the best and most appropriate contracts for the work they are undertaking
  • ● Lead the preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings
  • ● Assist in administering contracts and project certifications
  • ● Obtain feedback on work in progress and finished results from clients
  • ● Make site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running within the agreed timescale
  • ● Solve problems that might occur during building/construction stage
  • ● Carry out defect inspections
  • ● Manage the work of junior staff/direct reports

Requirements

  • ● Minimum 10 years experience in the architectural industry in Singapore or Malaysia
  • ● Able to work within a team and in a fast-paced environment
  • ● Familiar with building regulations (Singapore or Malaysia)
  • ● Strong Portfolio
