Responsibilities

  • Translate customer orders and forecasts into practical production and material plans.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand, capacity, material availability and lead times.
  • Execute ERP/MRP planning to ensure timely material availability and production readiness.
  • Plan material requirements and manage inventory to prevent shortages, excess and obsolescence.
  • Monitor demand, supply, inventory and production constraints, and proactively adjust plans to minimise disruptions.
  • Manage rescheduling and planning changes to support on-time delivery and changing operational priorities.
  • Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Production, Engineering and Logistics to resolve planning issues and support on-time delivery.
  • Provide clear and timely delivery commitments and planning updates to Sales and Business Units.
  • Support ECO/ECN and NPI activities by assessing production capacity, material requirements and planning impact.
  • Identify and implement improvements in production planning, MRP, inventory control and S&OP processes.
  • Track key planning KPIs, including on-time delivery, inventory performance and planning responsiveness.
  • Support ERP, digitalisation and other initiatives to improve planning efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in planning and review meetings, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in production and material planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience in production scheduling, MRP and material planning.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, LN) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex planning situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and provide clear planning updates.
  • Proven ability to identify process gaps, implement improvements and drive change.
  • Experience in a regulated, automated or high-volume manufacturing environment is an advantage.
