Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies and policies aligned with organisational objectives and industry best practices
  • Manage supplier selection, evaluation, and relationship management to ensure optimal value, quality and service delivery
  • Oversee inventory management and control systems to minimise waste whilst ensuring adequate stock levels for all operational departments
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and favourable conditions
  • Monitor procurement budgets and expenditure, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing efficiency improvements
  • Lead and supervise the procurement team, providing guidance, training and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations and ethical procurement standards
  • Liaise with operational departments to understand procurement needs and requirements
  • Analyse market trends and supply chain dynamics to inform strategic purchasing decisions
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting systems for audit and analysis purposes

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of procurement or supply chain management experience, preferably within the hospitality, hotel or resort industry
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role overseeing procurement functions and team management
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management and inventory control systems
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and achieve cost savings without compromising quality
  • Excellent analytical and and problem-solving skills with the ability to make strategic decisions
  • Proficiency in procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (APICS, CIPS or equivalent) is advantageous
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial
  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis
  • Able to go outstation for assignments and tasks given or special projects
