Responsibilities
- ● Identify opportunities to advance transshipment connections of dangerous goods and reefer shipments to earlier sailings by reviewing vessel schedules, connection windows and space capacity.
- ● Coordinate with other colleagues in the transshipment team to execute such advancements.
- ● Send weekly reports to space controllers to highlight overbooking over the next two to three weeks so that space controllers can determine solutions to control bookings.
- ● Update PSA of transshipment plans to facilitate PSA's yard planning.
- ● Verify PSA invoices.
- ● Attend bi-monthly meeting with PSA to address Portnet related issues.
- ● Cover duties related to the submission of cargo clearance permits, namely, verifying supporting documentation, liaising with internal stakeholders and relevant authorities and ensuring timely submission of applications for approval.
- ● Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency through technology-driven solutions.
- ● Support system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and the implementation of new systems, tools, and process improvements.
- ● Collaborate with IT, Operations, and other key stakeholders to resolve system issues.
- ● Develop, maintain, and continuously improve process documentation and work instructions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational consistency.
- ● Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
Requirements
- ● Diploma holder with container shipping experience or fresh university graduate.
- ● Proficiency in MS Office (especially intermediate/advanced Excel) and Google Workspace.
- ● Familiarity with Portnet is an advantage.
- ● An interest or background in data tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel VBA, or basic SQL) is a plus but not mandatory.
