Responsibilities
- ● Manage high-volume daily purchase requisitions, operational supplies & equipment, and F&B requirements efficiently without compromising quality or operational timelines.
- ● Handle competitive tender exercises which include managing tender documentations, site inspection, tender interview, comparison and recommendation.
- ● Handle contract negotiation, and review contract terms and conditions to protect hotel interests.
- ● Actively engage in day-to-day procurement workflows, site inspections, vendor audits, and urgent sourcing requests.
- ● Provide direct leadership, training, and operational guidance to the purchasing team.
- ● Maintain strategic vendor relationships, evaluate supplier performance regularly, and enforce strict compliance with quality, hygiene, and sustainability standards.
- ● Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and promptly resolve service or quality issues.
- ● Drive procurement initiatives such as cost-control measures, vendor assessment, new product trials, and support the hotel's green initiatives.
- ● Work closely with co-workers and Department Heads to monitor expenditure, drive cost optimization initiatives, and ensure strict adherence to procurement policies.
- ● Maintain clear, open, and efficient lines of communication with internal stakeholders to streamline requirements and resolve supply chain bottlenecks promptly.
- ● Prepare procurement updates and monthly reports, and provide support to Finance team during month-end closing.
- ● Perform any assignment given by the Management as and when required.
Requirements
- ● Possess minimum a Diploma qualification in relevant field.
- ● Minimum 5-8 years of progressive procurement experience with at least 3 years relevant working experience in similar capacity in hotel industry.
- ● Proven track record of managing and mentoring a team.
- ● Highly hands-on, action-oriented, and able to perform effectively under high-pressure, fast-turnaround conditions.
- ● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- ● Strong negotiation skills with an ability to interface confidently with senior executive management, department heads, and external suppliers.
- ● Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- ● Proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with CheckSCM is an added advantage.
