Responsibilities

  • ● Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for IT technology solutions, including infrastructure, software, cloud services and emerging technologies tailored to banking sector requirements
  • ● Conduct market analysis and vendor landscape assessments to identify optimal technology providers and solutions that align with banking compliance and security standards
  • ● Lead end-to-end procurement processes including requirements gathering, RFP development, vendor evaluation, negotiation and contract management
  • ● Manage vendor relationships, negotiate commercial terms and service levels, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and performance metrics
  • ● Evaluate total cost of ownership and identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements and value optimisation without compromising quality or security
  • ● Ensure all technology procurement activities comply with banking regulations, internal governance frameworks, risk management policies and cybersecurity standards
  • ● Collaborate with internal stakeholders including IT teams, business units and finance to understand technology needs and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • ● Maintain detailed procurement documentation, vendor performance metrics and audit trails to support transparency and accountability
  • ● Stay current with technology trends, market developments and industry best practices in IT procurement within the financial services sector

Requirements

  • ● 5-8 years of experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing or vendor management, with demonstrable experience in the banking or financial services sector
  • ● Strong understanding of IT technology categories including infrastructure, software licensing, cloud services, cybersecurity solutions and emerging technologies
  • ● Proven expertise in conducting vendor evaluations, RFP management, contract negotiation and commercial acumen in complex technology deals
  • ● In-depth knowledge of banking sector compliance requirements, regulatory frameworks, risk management principles and security standards
  • ● Proficiency in procurement systems, tools and platforms; experience with P2P systems and vendor management software
  • ● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess total cost of ownership and identify value optimisation opportunities
  • ● Strong stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, business and executive levels
  • ● Project management expertise with proven ability to manage multiple complex procurement initiatives simultaneously
  • ● Professional certifications such as CIPS, APICS, or relevant procurement qualifications are advantageous
  • ● Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
