Responsibilities
- ● Conduct thorough reviews of KYC write-ups for account onboarding and rolling reviews of low and medium risk client accounts, ensuring all documentation meets stringent standards.
- ● Collaborate closely with Front Office teams to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of KYC information, providing guidance on documentation requirements and source of wealth corroboration.
- ● Assess identified risk factors comprehensively during risk scoring processes, ensuring all relevant considerations are addressed.
- ● Identify red flag indicators through initial assessments prior to escalation, maintaining vigilance over potential risks.
- ● Perform holistic reviews of client transaction histories to confirm alignment with stated account purposes and detect any inconsistencies.
- ● Evaluate adverse news related to clients, assessing reputational risks that may impact the institution's standing.
- ● Monitor periodic review deadlines diligently, providing weekly status updates to stakeholders for transparency and accountability.
- ● Act as liaison between front sales teams and Compliance/CDD units for client onboarding and rolling review requirements, facilitating smooth communication.
- ● Ensure strict adherence to policies including Compliance, KYC requirements, Due Diligence, AML regulations by Relationship Managers.
- ● Offer guidance and support to junior team members, nurturing their development within the business management function.
Requirements
- ● At least 3 - 6 years of proven AML experience within private banking environments is highly advantageous for this role.
- ● Comprehensive understanding of wealth management practices alongside relevant regulatory frameworks is essential.
- ● Direct experience in client onboarding processes or periodic KYC reviews involving high net worth clients is required.
- ● Excellent communication skills with strong command of English are necessary for effective interaction across teams.
- ● Demonstrated track record in supervising teams or mentoring junior staff members within business management functions.
- ● Effective teamwork skills enabling you to interact, negotiate, and communicate seamlessly across local and regional offices.
- ● Ability to interpret new regulations collaboratively with compliance teams and recommend relevant process changes when needed.
- ● Experience participating in major system upgrades or workflow implementations within financial institutions is beneficial.
- ● Strong interpersonal abilities allowing you to liaise between front sales teams and compliance/CDD units efficiently.
