Responsibilities
- ● Receive and verify benchmarks, control points and coordinate data, and establish and protect the site survey control network.
- ● Set out and recheck gridlines, boundaries, levels, foundations, structural elements, roads and underground services.
- ● Carry out verification before concrete pours, structural-steel erection and equipment positioning, with complete records.
- ● Monitor settlement, displacement and verticality, and report deviations promptly and support corrective actions.
- ● Coordinate joint surveys, inspections and sign-off with site engineers, subcontractors and consultants.
- ● Maintain total stations, levels and GNSS equipment and ensure valid calibration certificates.
- ● Compile field books, calculations, survey reports and as-built survey records.
- ● Calculate setting-out data from approved drawings, independently check results and retain calculation records.
- ● Support quantity verification, site records and as-built surveys for final account and handover.
Requirements
- ● Diploma or degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- ● Certificate or diploma in Surveying, Engineering Survey, Geomatics or a related discipline, with diploma or above preferred.
- ● At least 2 years of construction-survey experience in building or infrastructure projects, with independent setting-out and calculation ability.
- ● High-rise, major foundation or complex-site surveying experience is preferred.
- ● Able to independently establish control networks, perform coordinate transformation, closure checks and as-built surveys.
- ● Competent in total stations, levels and GNSS, and proficient in AutoCAD and survey-data software.
- ● Able to interpret English drawings, coordinate schedules and specifications, and be accurate and detail-oriented.
- ● Valid CIDB construction personnel registration is required, and cadastral or statutory survey work must be performed under a Malaysian licensed land surveyor where applicable.
- ● Familiar with survey tolerances, instrument calibration, benchmark protection and survey sign-off procedures.
- ● Proficient with total stations, auto levels, GNSS and AutoCAD, with Civil 3D being an advantage.
- ● Able to communicate on site in English or Bahasa Malaysia, with Chinese being an advantage.
- ● Able to complete survey records, report deviations and coordinate on site in English or Bahasa Malaysia.
- ● Meticulous and data-conscious, with the ability to work outdoors and during night operations when required.
