About the Company
B2B Commerce is seeking a Data Engineer for their Data Management team, which manages data integration for over 100 large FMCG companies across Southeast Asia. The team handles data routing and transformation within the B2B Commerce group and provides data for their Business Intelligence cloud solution. They develop in-house applications using Python, Java, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and ETL tools, which are used in six countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and China), and they continuously innovate and enhance these products.
Responsibilities
- ● Attend weekly meetings set by the immediate supervisor
- ● Assist in designing, developing, and implementing ETL solutions
- ● Develop technical specifications and design documents for ETL solutions
- ● Automate business processes using ETL technology, ranging from simple to medium complex processes
- ● Participate in the development of ETL flows
- ● Perform system testing and documentation whenever necessary
- ● Maintain and support project post-implementation activities
- ● Ensure timely delivery of assigned work
- ● Perform any other tasks which may be assigned by the Management
Requirements
- ● Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Data Analytics or equivalent
- ● Have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in ETL platforms and open source technologies
- ● Good understanding of ETL tools and technologies
- ● Knowledge of Pentaho Data Integration and Selenium is an added advantage
- ● Excellent knowledge of relational databases
- ● Knowledge in Java/JSON/XML/REST/SOAP/Web Services would be an added advantage
- ● Strong interpersonal skills with good command of English - both written and oral
- ● Able to communicate in Mandarin due to frequent communication with Mandarin-speaking clients
