Assistant Engineer

Responsibilities

• ● GENRE Professional is looking for motivated and responsible Assistant Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or junior engineers who are eager to gain exposure in the world of M&E consultancy. Important note: If you enjoy hands-on technical work such as working with machinery, automation systems, robotics, electronics, maintenance, facility maintenance or installation activities, this role may not align with your interests. This position is mainly office-based and focuses on engineering drafting, documentation, and conduct simulation & modelling using software. We welcome applicants from any Science-related background , provided you have a genuine interest in the job scope below. Although we are an M&E Consultancy Firm specializing in electrical and mechanical engineering, we do not limit our opportunities to candidates with electrical engineering background only. We value individuals with diverse academic backgrounds, perspectives, and talents. What matters most is your interest in the work and commitment to grow with the company. This role is primarily office-based and involves engineering drafting, simulation, modelling, studies, and technical documentation. Therefore, candidates should be comfortable working mainly in an office environment rather than performing hands-on field work. Your academic backgrounds can be any Science related (eg. Physics, Applied Science, Mechatronic Engineering, Construction, Building or other related Science and Engineering disciplines) Candidates from non-related fields (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or similar disciplines) are also welcome to apply if they have a strong interest in electrical engineering, power system studies, simulation, modelling, and technical consultancy work. Job Responsibilities: As Assistant Engineer, you will play an important role in assisting our principal engineer in drafting/simulation work, technical documentation, authority submission works across various engineering projects, and conduct information research when necessary.
• ● Involve in the engineering drafting work or work task that you are required to do simulation & modelling by using software (Etap, pvsysts)
• ● Assist in authority submissions and follow-up with relevant authorities
• ● Support principal engineer in project documentation and coordination works
• ● Conduct research and gather technical information required
• ● Prepare and organise project-related documents and records
• ● Liaise with authorities, suppliers, contractors when required
• ● Ensure assigned tasks are completed within the required timeline
• ● Support the Principal with ad-hoc work tasks
• ● Able to follow instructions given by principal engineer or company management
• ● Someone who doesn't disappear during deadlines. To have the responsibility to manage and complete undertaken work milestones within the set timeline.
• ● The work is not difficult. What we emphasize is a candidate must has responsible in work. Job Requirements:
• ● Fresh graduates / candidates with 1-2 years of working experience in related field are encouraged to apply
• ● Any Science-related Degree or relevant diploma are welcome to apply.
• ● If your degree is non related, you are welcome to apply provided you can demonstrate your interest in the job scope we mentioned above.
• ● Able to speak and write in English & Bahasa Malaysia
• ● Knowledge of CAD, ETAP, Pvsyst software will be an added advantage
• ● Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• ● Have communication and coordination skills with relevant authorities
• ● Positive working attitude and willingness to learn software
