Accountant (Hospitality) South Yarra, Melbourne VIC Financial Accounting & Reporting (Accounting) Full-time or Part-time 80,000 - 90,000 + Super This role would suit an experienced hospitality accountant or a commercially minded senior bookkeeper looking to take the next step in their career. About Beverly Beverly is one of Melbourne's leading rooftop hospitality venues, recognised for exceptional service, premium experiences and a fast-paced culture. We're looking for a hands on Accountant to become a key member of our management team. Working closely with the General Manager and business owners, you'll oversee the venue's financial operations while helping shape commercial decisions through accurate reporting, budgeting and financial insight. This is not a traditional accounting role. You'll be involved in the day to day operation of the business, combining accounting, payroll, reporting and operational finance to help drive performance. What you'll be doing Financial Management Prepare and present weekly and monthly financial reports Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts and cashflow projections alongside the General Manager and Owner Analyse labour costs, food and beverage costs and other key financial performance indicators Prepare BAS and IAS reporting and ensure compliance with ATO requirements Prepare monthly management accounts and provide commercial insights to support business decisions Assist with month end and year end financial r
Requirements
- ● two days are the same. You're equally comfortable processing payroll, presenting financial reports and partnering with operations to improve commercial outcomes.
- ● To be successful in this role you'll bring:
- ● A formal qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree)
- ● Minimum 5 years' experience in an accounting, assistant accountant or senior bookkeeping role
- ● Hospitality finance experience is essential
- ● Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and the Restaurant Industry Award
- ● Advanced proficiency in Xero
- ● Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
- ● Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with operational teams and senior management
