About the Company

A growing Australian-owned company based in Western Sydney is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join their friendly team. This is a newly created role offering flexibility to suit the right person. We're open to: Part-time (3 or 4 days per week, with school hours considered), or Full-time for a motivated junior looking to build a career in Accounts Payable.

About the Role

Working as part of the finance team, you'll play an important role in ensuring our accounts payable function runs smoothly while supporting a business with approximately 80 employees across Australia and a small team within the office in the Hills area.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable transactions accurately and on time.
  • Manage supplier invoices, fuel bills and supplier payments.
  • Perform allocations and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with general finance administration and ad hoc office support.
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable when required.
  • Ad hoc office administration work.
  • Previous Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, allocations and general ledger support.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • A strong sense of reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Eager to learn and build a career in finance.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive team player with a positive attitude.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, with Excel experience an advantage.
