About the Company

WSP is seeking a proactive HSE Officer to support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements on water transmission and pipeline infrastructure projects. The role will assist in maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with project procedures, regulatory requirements, and client HSE standards.

Responsibilities

  • ● Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe work practices.
  • ● Monitor construction activities including excavation, trenching, pipe laying, lifting operations, and confined space works.
  • ● Identify unsafe acts and conditions and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
  • ● Support the implementation of project HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • ● Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns for site personnel.
  • ● Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce site safety requirements.
  • ● Report, record, and assist in the investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • ● Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, permits, and compliance reports.
  • ● Participate in emergency response drills and support emergency preparedness activities.
  • ● Monitor environmental controls related to waste management, dust suppression, noise control, and pollution prevention.
  • ● Liaise with contractors, supervisors, and project teams to promote a positive safety culture.
