About the Company
The APAC Accountant will join the regional Accounting Hub and play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial information across a portfolio of APAC entities. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role offers broad exposure to financial accounting, month-end close, statutory reporting, audit support, tax accounting support, intercompany accounting and regional finance operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Group Finance, Group Tax, external auditors and local service providers across multiple jurisdictions. As additional activities transition into the Accounting Hub, the successful candidate will progressively assume ownership of designated entities and accounting processes, while contributing to finance transformation, process standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
- ● Financial Accounting
- ● Support the accounting and reporting requirements of assigned APAC entities and progressively assume responsibility for designated legal entities.
- ● Prepare and review month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and supporting schedules.
- ● Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and ensure timely resolution.
- ● Support intercompany accounting, reconciliations and settlement activities across regional entities.
- ● Prepare management reporting schedules and support Group reporting requirements.
- ● Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- ● Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities in line with Group reporting timetables.
- ● Audit, Statutory Reporting & Compliance
- ● Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
- ● Prepare audit-ready reconciliations and supporting documentation for local and Group audits.
- ● Coordinate responses to auditor requests and follow up on outstanding information requirements.
- ● Support local compliance reporting and finance governance requirements across APAC.
- ● Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accounting records remain accurate, complete and audit-ready.
- ● Tax Accounting Support
- ● Collaborate with the Group Tax team to support tax reporting requirements across APAC entities.
- ● Support VAT and local tax data checks in collaboration with Group Tax, helping ensure accounting entries are correctly recorded
- ● Regional Provider & Stakeholder Management
- ● Coordinate with external accounting firms, auditors, tax advisers and company secretarial providers across APAC.
- ● Review accounting information and reporting schedules received from local service providers.
