About the Company

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced SAP MDM Consultant specializing in retail data architectures. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and harmonizing core master data domains across e-commerce channels, physical store POS networks, warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain platforms. You will serve as the subject matter expert for Retail Master Data (Article Master, Merchandise Categories, Assortment, Site Master, Customer/Business Partner) to ensure seamless omnichannel operations.

Responsibilities

  • ● Lead the functional and technical design, data modeling, and maintenance of SAP Retail master data domains: Article Master (Single, Generic, Structured Articles), Merchandise Category Hierarchies, Assortments, Site/Store Master, and Customer/Vendor Master .
  • ● Design and maintain integration flows for syndicating master data between SAP ERP / S/4HANA Retail and downstream enterprise platforms (e.g., POS terminals, E-Commerce engines, Warehouse Management Systems, and CRM systems).
  • ● Manage data mapping, extraction, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, and mass maintenance routines during store expansion or catalog updates.
  • ● Establish validation rules, de-duplication frameworks, and automated checks to maintain data integrity across high-volume retail transactions.
  • ● Collaborate with business unit leads (Category Managers, Merchandise Planners, Supply Chain Leads, Store Operations) to define data ownership, data workflows, and operating procedures.
  • ● Ensure customer and store data maintenance practices adhere to Singapore regulatory compliance standards, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) .
  • ● Gather business requirements from cross-functional retail teams and translate them into clear Functional and Technical Specifications (FDS/TDS).
  • ● Coordinate integration testing (UAT), user training, data migration cutover plans, and post-go-live hypercare support.

Requirements

  • ● Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • ● 5+ years of hands-on experience working with SAP MDM / SAP Retail Master Data Management .
  • ● Strong domain experience in Retail / FMCG business processes (Product Information Management, Pricing & Promotion conditions, Listing & Assortment rules, Barcode/EAN management).
  • ● Hands-on proficiency with SAP tools such as SAP NetWeaver MDM, SAP S/4HANA Retail / IS-Retail, Mass Maintenance (MM42/MASS), IDocs/ALE, and BAPIs .
  • ● Experience with data integration middleware (SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite / CPI) or third-party PIM platforms (e.g., Hybris PCM, Riversand) is a strong plus.
