About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead the development, improvement, and support of Oracle Fusion Finance. You will work with Finance, Technology, Risk and Compliance, and implementation partners to ensure the system meets business needs and supports reliable financial operations. You will own the product roadmap and backlog, turn business requirements into clear priorities, and guide changes from design through testing and production. The role requires strong Oracle Fusion functional knowledge, sound judgment on financial controls, and enough technical understanding to work effectively with integration, data, and reporting teams.
Responsibilities
- ● Own the Oracle Fusion Finance roadmap. Gather needs from Finance and other stakeholders, assess business value and risk, and prioritize enhancements, defects, and operational improvements.
- ● Lead functional solution design. Define processes and requirements across General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Cash Management, Project portfolio management and related finance functions.
- ● Translate needs into delivery work. Write clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications for internal teams and vendors.
- ● Protect financial controls. Work with Finance, Risk and Compliance, and IT to address segregation of duties, user access, approvals, audit trails, and other applicable internal controls.
- ● Manage system dependencies. Assess how changes in upstream applications affect Oracle Fusion transactions, interfaces, reports, reconciliations, and finance operations.
- ● Guide testing and release decisions. Coordinate functional testing and UAT, review defects, confirm business readiness, and support cutover, deployment, and hypercare.
- ● Resolve production issues. Work with support and technical teams to investigate transaction failures, data discrepancies, access issues, and reporting problems; drive root cause fixes.
- ● Manage stakeholders and partners. Align Finance, Product, Technology, and vendors on priorities, decisions, timelines, risks, and outcomes.
- ● Improve the product continuously. Use user feedback, incident trends, and operational data to improve efficiency, system reliability, controls, and user experience.
- ● Build internal capability. Maintain process and solution documentation and transfer knowledge to business users and support teams.
Requirements
- ● Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ● At least 5 years of experience in ERP finance implementation, product ownership, functional consulting, or application management, including significant experience with Oracle Fusion Finance.
- ● Strong functional understanding of GL, AP, and AR, with experience in Fixed Assets, Procurement, Tax, Cash Management, or other Oracle Fusion modules considered an advantage.
- ● Experience managing a product backlog and guiding changes through requirements, design, testing, release, and production support.
- ● Good understanding of accounting processes, financial close, reconciliation, approvals, and financial controls.
- ● Experience working with segregation of duties, role-based access, audit requirements, and risk or compliance teams.
- ● Ability to assess the business impact of changes across Oracle Fusion, source systems, interfaces, and reports.
- ● Strong stakeholder management, vendor coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
- ● Ability to make decisions, explain priorities, and drive delivery with minimal supervision.
- ● Oracle Fusion interfaces using APIs, FBDI, Oracle Integration Cloud, or file-based integration.
- ● BI Publisher reports, data models, and report requirements.
- ● SQL queries used for data analysis, reconciliation, and issue investigation.
- ● Interface monitoring, error handling, data validation, and batch processes.
- ● Experience in retail, wholesale, e-commerce, or another environment with high transaction volumes.
- ● Experience working with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Procurement, or Finance Operations.
- ● Familiarity with Agile delivery, SDLC, and vendor-managed application support.
- ● Experience with data analytics, automation, or RPA in finance processes.
- ● Experience supporting an Oracle Fusion rollout, cutover, or post-go-live stabilization.
