Responsibilities

• ● Diagnostic Imaging and Interpretation:
• ● Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and DEXA scans, relevant to diabetes and metabolic health.
• ● Provide timely and accurate radiological reports to guide clinical decision-making for diabetes and endocrine disorders.
• ● Conduct ultrasound-guided procedures, such as thyroid fine-needle aspiration biopsies, when required.
• ● Clinical Collaboration:
• ● Collaborate with endocrinologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to correlate imaging findings with clinical symptoms and laboratory results.
• ● Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to support comprehensive patient care.
• ● Patient Care and Education:
• ● Communicate imaging findings to referring physicians and, when necessary, to patients in a clear and professional manner.
• ● Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process.
• ● Quality Assurance and Safety:
• ● Ensure the highest standards of imaging quality and patient safety, adhering to international radiological guidelines.
• ● Supervise the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with DHA regulations and clinic protocols.
• ● Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety practices to protect patients and staff.
• ● Administrative and Training Responsibilities:
• ● Assist in developing and updating imaging protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• ● Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
• ● Provide training and mentorship to junior staff or technicians as needed.
• ● Research and Innovation:
• ● Engage in clinical research related to diabetes care and imaging techniques.

Requirements

• ● Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Radiology.
• ● Valid DHA license or eligibility to practice as a Specialist Radiologist in Dubai, UAE.
• ● Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably with a focus on endocrine or metabolic conditions.
• ● Proficiency in advanced imaging techniques such as ultrasound and DEXA scans.
• ● Technical Skills:
• ● Expertise in operating and interpreting advanced imaging systems and software.
• ● Strong analytical skills to correlate imaging findings with clinical presentations.
• ● Soft Skills:
• ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients and team members.
• ● High attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
