Responsibilities

  • ● Monitor and maintain financial data consistency across General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), and Controlling (CO).
  • ● Oversee intercompany reconciliations (FI-IC / Universal Journal) and resolve variances or stuck transactions (e.g., IDocs, interfaces, posting errors).
  • ● Ensure seamless data integration between SAP FICO and upstream/downstream modules (MM, SD, PP, SuccessFactors, third-party banking/tax engines).
  • ● Perform periodic system balance health checks, month-end/year-end closing validation, and automated control reviews.
  • ● Define, design, and monitor automated system controls within SAP to prevent financial fraud, errors, and misstatements.
  • ● Partner with Internal/External Audit teams to manage audit requests, retrieve system evidence, and remediate findings.
  • ● Design and enforce Segregation of Duties (SoD) matrix, sensitive transaction monitoring, and role-based access controls in collaboration with the SAP Basis/Security team.
  • ● Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial processes, SAP control key points, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • ● Identify manual workarounds or process gaps in finance workflows and propose SAP-standard automated solutions to improve financial controls.
  • ● Analyze custom ABAP developments (Z-programs, enhancements, reports) to ensure they comply with financial integrity guidelines and maintain data accuracy.
  • ● Support project implementations, rollouts, or S/4HANA migrations by validating financial data migration scripts, control testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Requirements

  • ● Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • ● SAP Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on functional/analytical experience with SAP FI and CO modules (S/4HANA preferred; ECC 6.0 acceptable).
  • ● Financial Background: Strong foundation in core accounting principles (General Ledger, Month-End Close, Financial Reporting) and internal control frameworks (SOX, COSO).
  • ● Audit & Controls: Demonstrated experience in SAP audit preparation, SoD risk management, and system control testing.
  • ● Proficiency with SAP reporting tools (Fiori apps, SAC, SAP Queries, SQVI, or BW/Embedded Analytics).
  • ● Deep understanding of SAP database structures (ACDOCA table structure in S/4HANA is a major plus).
  • ● Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities to investigate ledger discrepancies, missing postings, and system configuration bugs.
  • ● Preferred Certifications (Any of the following is a plus)
  • ● Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / ACCA
  • ● Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • ● SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting
