The Neurosciences ward at RPAH offers a valuable working opportunity to be supported by experienced neuroscience nurses as well as Neurology and Neurosurgery Clinical Nurse Consultants. You will have the opportunity for career progression with education in acute stroke training and the ability to work in the acute stroke unit caring for thrombolysed and endovascular clot retrieval patients. On this ward you will also have the opportunity to be tracheostomy trained with the guidance of the clinical nurse educator and senior allied health team members. You will also be guided in training of seizure management, lumbar drains, post operative neurosurgery patients and several complex neurological conditions. You will be supported in joining quality improvement projects throughout the ward aiming to improve our patient and staff experience on the ward.
