About the Company

Run your cloud & serverless apps locally to reduce development time and increase product velocity with LocalStack At LocalStack, we provide the 1 platform for local cloud development & testing, offering the most advanced cloud emulation for AWS services. Our aim is to assist individual cloud developers and enterprises in becoming solution nimble, optimizing costs, reducing contention, and delivering resilient and secure value to their customers. LocalStack is ideal for designing and testing highly resilient and secure solutions on your local machine before live deployment. Our platform facilitates integration testing of cloud solutions both locally and in CI/CD environments, enhancing developer velocity and feature quality. With LocalStack, you fully emphasize on black-box solution tests that fully exercise the inputs and outputs of your system, rather than solely focusing on unit tests. Our solution also enables rapid design and development of sophisticated cloud solutions with little to no changes needed for IaC pipelines. In addition, by emulating cloud services locally, LocalStack enables additional features and workflows that are not feasible on the cloud, such as local chaos engineering, IAM security testing, team collaboration, and more Software Development Specialties: cloud computing, developer tooling, digital transformation, amazon web services, microsoft azure, continuous integration, devops

Responsibilities

  • ● LocalStack - the Local Cloud Sandbox for Developers and AI Agents
  • ● LocalStack is a local cloud development platform. LocalStack makes it easier, faster, and less expensive for software teams to ship reliable, high-quality applications to the cloud.
  • ● The cloud was built to run software, not to support AI-native development workflows. As the world's leading local cloud development platform, LocalStack provides secure local sandboxes that simulate cloud environments, enabling AI agents and software developers to find and fix risks faster and more effectively than they can in the cloud.
  • ● Our customer base ranges from SMBs to Global Fortune 500 companies. Our clients include companies like NASA, Harness, IBM, Workday, Comcast, Apple, 3M, Block and many more.
  • ● LocalStack is headquartered in Zurich/Switzerland , with a small engineering office in Vienna/Austria and remote team members from 25 countries including the US, FR, UK, CA, ES, and many more
  • ● Check our Notion Candidate Handbook and our GitHub
  • ● What you will be working on/responsible for
  • ● Embed across Engineering, GTM, People, Support, Finance, and Ops to identify where AI can remove the most operational friction, capturing opportunities for reliable automation of manual workflow
  • ● Build internal tools and agents end-to-end, connecting current tech stack to daily employee workflows.
  • ● Drive real adoption through workshops, pairing, and office hours-measuring success by active usage and time saved rather than features shipped.
  • ● Partner with Security to establish guardrails, access scoping, and audit trails that protect employee and customer data.
  • ● Develop and use a framework to track the value of AI solutions (key metrics, targets, actuals, etc)
  • ● Experience we expect you to bring to the role
  • ● + years of total experience as a software engineer + MBB or Big4 consulting/product management or business operations in a B2B SaaS startup/ scale up (big plus)
  • ● Strong experience working with cross functional stakeholders and driving value for them (documented adoption win, i.e. they took a team from zero to a workflow rebuilt around AI and can show the before/after)
  • ● Strong experience using Codex, Claude Code or similar to ship working solutions (this may be in personal projects)
  • ● Broad understanding of AI technology (LLM vs ML) and relevant patterns, approaches, etc
  • ● Familiarity with Git version control and use of GitHub, GitLab or similar tools
