About the Role

Applications are sought for the position of Senior Mine Engineer. The responsibilities of this role will be: Design and optimise underground development, stope designs, and mining methods to minimise costs and maximise equipment efficiency Develop and manage underground development and production schedules Oversee drill and blast planning and optimisation Plan and manage the mine dewatering system Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with plans and quality standards Deliver technical and engineering support to the Mine Manager and broader team Lead and mentor mining engineers and technical staff Drive continuous improvement in mining methods and equipment performance Manage capital expenditure planning, quoting, and implementation Coordinate closely with production, survey, geology, drill and blast, and contractor teams Contribute to project work and broader mine engineering initiatives as required

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimise underground development, stope designs, and mining methods to minimise costs and maximise equipment efficiency

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in mining operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Skilled in mine planning and scheduling software (Deswik - highly regarded).
  • Current WA C-class driver's licence. First Class Mine Managers Certificate (Not essential but preferred).
